Milestone Event to be Held at CLO & Talent Management Forum in September
Mountain View, CA – August 26, 2010 – Expertus, a global provider of software and services that optimize the business impact of learning, today announced a live Learning Executive Think Tank in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 12 to complement the CLO & Talent Management Forum (http://www.thecloforum.com/). The half-day event will bring together many of the learning industry’s brightest minds, representing a cross-section of industries. Since 2008, nine Learning Executive Think Tanks have been held with insightful whitepapers produced after each session (http://www.trainingefficiency.com/explore-resources).
In the September 2010 Learning Executive Think Tank, Tom Clancy, VP of Education at EMC, Tom Kelly, formerly of Cisco, NetApp and Oracle, and Cushing Anderson, Program Vice President, Project Based Services – Consulting, HR and Learning at IDC, will moderate the event to exchange the “best” best practices on the following topic: How will you implement your learning initiatives differently in 2011 (communications, media mix, marketing, metrics, etc.) based upon the state of the economy and what you learned in 2010?
“The Learning Executive Think Tank is unique because it provides an opportunity for seasoned learning leaders to have an ongoing dialogue on a wide variety of topics,” said Cushing Anderson of IDC. “This half-day session will be a capstone of a year-long discussion and debate of the most important issues facing CLOs and launch us into another year of joint discovery.”
“We are thrilled to bring back the Learning Executive Think Tank, one of the savviest, brand-agnostic roundtables I’ve ever experienced,” added Christopher Williams, project director for CLO & Talent Management Forum. “This collaborative event encompasses best practice sharing and participants can truly learn valuable lessons that they can immediately apply at work.”
The Learning Executive Think Tank, sponsored by Expertus and co-hosted by IDC, is different than other learning industry groups because it is focused on the business aspects of training and its impact on ROI. Members are hand-selected, senior-level learning executives who have long track records of successful learning leadership. The sessions concentrate on real results and best practices and not theoretical or “bleeding edge” solutions.
