Virtual and In-Person Executive Sessions to Focus on Learning Measurement Issues Related to Technology, Data Availability, Resources and Reporting

Mountain View, CA – March 27, 2007 – Expertus, a global provider of services that optimize the business impact of learning, announced today the Expertus Learning Intelligence Forum, a series of virtual and in-person meetings for corporate learning executives held during 2007. The meetings will give learning executives the opportunity to discuss the challenges related to analyzing global learning initiatives and efficient reporting

Insight shared at the meetings will also be used by Expertus to identify information that can help executives improve decision making and provide substantive data for planning – valuable feedback for development work now being conducted for a new service offering planned for later this year.

The first forum meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 4, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EDT. Those executives interested in participating in this virtual session should contact Mohana Radhakrishnan mohanark@expertus.com. Attendees will receive a list of discussion questions prior to the meeting. Topics to be covered include: data sources; use of metrics for forecasting, compliance, and business planning; tools and infrastructure issues; data accuracy; metrics currently used, and those not used but desired.

“Developing meaningful learning analytics continues to be problematic for most learning organizations,” said Josh Bersin, president of Bersin & Associates, a research and advisory firm specializing in enterprise learning and talent management. “Most are not satisfied with the data available through their LMSs and don’t have the time, resources, or expertise to create their own solutions. The result is that organizations often don’t have a clear idea of the business results associated with training, and can’t identify problems early on.”

“Meaningful learning measurements require insight into the business, accurate data, accessible data sources, and an efficient technology solution,” said Ramesh Ramani, president of Expertus. “Our goal in improving learning analytics and reporting is to give business leaders new combinations of information that provide a clearer view into the business of learning.” The second forum meeting is scheduled for April 26 in Palm Springs, CA.
